Post Cap Insert
SKU: BW-A165-XX (voltage)
Blue Wolf’s Post Light cap, approved by the United States DLA, inserts are made out of durable aluminum, not plastic. See our article on "Why our lights are Aluminum". They are strong, light weight, and have a life expectancy of over 40,000 hours.
Since they're designed to be durable and non-breakable, these NVIS White Post cap inserts can easily replace older and inferior plastic inserts. This means lower operating cost, and no FOD (Foreign Object Debris) pieces that have to be accounted for when an older plastic one breaks. Gathering broken pieces inside an aircraft cockpit for example can be challenging and very time consuming!
Our NVIS White LED Post caps are specifically designed for illuminating instrumentation used in Night Vision Environments such as cockpits, tanks, boating vessels, ground vehicles, or other applications. The NVIS LED white light produced allows for easy viewing without “greening out” important indication colors such as “reds” and “yellows”.
Our post light cap insert is compatible with many existing incandescent original designs for easy upgrade modifications, or as a direct replacement for other current plastic NVIS LED post light caps.
The spring loaded contact provides a durable positive contact which accommodates “wear” from older bases along with an enormous gain in life from the LED light source. Use our NVIS products and you'll only install them once - no more replacement. "You can see the reds and yellows without losing any integrity in with NVIS goggles"
